The initial consultation is the first step towards understanding your legal rights and retaining a lawyer.

You will leave the initial consultation armed with an understanding of your rights and a clear path forward.

Initial consultations include:

A thorough review of all relevant documents prior to the call.
A 60-minute phone or video call where I will answer all of your questions and provide you with our recommended next steps.

Consultation Fee: $450, inclusive of HST (flat rate)

Steps of a Consultation

I perform a quick conflict check and we schedule the consult within 24-72 hours.

I ask you for a brief summary of the facts and to provide all relevant documents for my review.

I thoroughly prepare for the call in advance by reviewing all relevant documents, considering your legal options, and if necessary, consulting legislation and case law.

We have a 60-minute phone or video call where all your questions are answered and you leave the call with a clear understanding of your rights and next steps.

I provide you with an invoice for the consultation and if you decide to retain me, I will also provide a retainer agreement for your review and signature.
